2-11-3, Meguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo
As a foreigner, Japan may feel like a challenging country at first to launch your startup. But when you take it step by step, follow your intuition and just apply a few simple practices, it becomes a really rewarding experience.
For this ApéroTalk, we're really happy to welcome Thomas Pouplin, co-founder and CEO of Ikkai, who will share with us useful tips to launch and grow your entrepreneurial project.
ApéroTalk is our events series based on a very simple (and very French) concept: Apéro and Talk.
Agenda
• 7:00 pm - Door opens
• 7:30 pm - Talk and Q&A by T. Pouplin, co-founder of Ikkai
• 8:30 pm - Networking session
About Ikkai and Thomas Pouplin
Looking for someone to distribute flyers or walk your dog? Ikkai is a crowdsourcing platform where individuals and companies can outsource one-time jobs or tasks for university students to complete. Launched 2 years ago from the Japan tech city of Fukuoka, Ikkai is currently handling 20 million Yens worth of small gigs every month, and just secured its seed funding.
Graduated from one of the top French business school and with a background in due diligence, Thomas landed in Japan two years ago to launch Ikkai. Most notably, he became the very first foreigner to benefit from the entrepreneur visa provided by the city of Fukuoka.
