詳細

Returnee students, or kikokushijo, are native Japanese students who have lived and studied abroad and then have returned to Japan to reenter the Japanese educational system. Many of them find themselves in the middle of two or more cultures, and some refer to themselves as ‘third culture kids’. Given their experience living in different countries, they tend to have a broad perspective of the world, which encompasses many cultural views, speak two or more languages and often work for innovative businesses.

For this online Panel Discussion, we are happy to welcome several guest speakers who experienced living and studying abroad and now working in the tech and startup industry, one of the most internationalized industries in Japan.

Key points discussed:
✔️ Challenges and advantages of growing abroad
important lessons learnt along the way.
✔️ Why work in the tech/startup industry in Japan
✔️ How to enter and kickstart the career in tech/startups
✔️ Q&A

Speakers:
🎤 Mai Iida, Venture Capitalist at D4V
🎤 Evan Shore, Founder and CEO of Canvas LLC
🎤 Tsuyoshi Domoto, Director of Tokyo Coding Club
🎤 Ryo Fujiwara, UI/UX Developer
