The role of the Product Manager is one of the most sought-after careers in the tech industry today. Individuals in this role must sit at the intersection between business and technology, and their function involves a whole host of tasks, tools, relationships, and strategies.

So how does one not only kick start but succeed at this coveted career? On June 23rd, we will welcome a panel of working professionals to answer this question, offering their wisdom on becoming a Product Manager in the competitive environment.

πŸš€ About Sho πŸš€

Sho started out his career in data analytics, working across a variety of industries ranging from non-profit to consulting to start-ups. While pursuing an MBA, he made a career switch to Product Management and joined eBay in NYC, where he helped build recommendation engines that powered experiences for millions of users. He then joined Facebook, where he worked on news products during the 2020 US Elections and the spread of COVID-19 across the globe. Sho recently relocated to Tokyo to pursue a new chapter in his life, and is now at Smartnews, building products to help grow the Japanese market.

Installed in Japan since 2005, Quentin obtained his PhD in numerical methods and dynamical systems from the University of Tokushima in 2009. Turning to the field of online services, he became a specialist of large scale back-end systems by being a central engineer in the conception, deployment and support of successful services with millions of active users.
Willing to capitalize on the rapidly growing industry of online services, he joined forces with two peers in 2014 to create bitcraft Co. Ltd., a company specializing in backend systems.
In 2017, Quentin seized the opportunity to have a deeper impact on society by joining UiPath, and work to bring RPA to widespread adoption.
