You’ve probably heard about quantum computers in the news. They can solve complex problems millions of times faster than a classical computer, using quantum bits. But how exactly does it work, why it’s so powerful, and how to write software for it?
For this online workshop, we are happy to welcome Salman Aljimeely, CEO of the quantum computing startup Elyah, who will talk about what quantum computers are, how they’re different, and how to get started writing software programs for them.
Key points:
✔️ What are quantum computers, and how are they different?
✔️ How do we start writing software programs for quantum computers?
✔️ What are the logical operators (IF/ELSE/OR) for quantum computers?
✔️ How to start building applications?
📎 Prerequisite:
Knowledge of computer science & programming basics
🚀 About Salman 🚀
Salman has studied quantum computing and aims to bridge the gap between the general public and quantum computer programming through design. Design has played an integral part in the creation of Elyah’s IDE. The idea was that redesigning the way quantum computers are programmed results in a product that is more easily accepted by the general public.
Elyah was founded three years ago with the intention to build the first useful application on a quantum computer. Today, the company has built one of the fastest on-browser simulators available to the public, as well as a fully redesigned IDE for programmers and algorithm designers to start planning the first few programs to run on quantum computers.
