As coronavirus lockdowns moved many activities online, demand for virtual networking tech has soared to record highs. From church services to prime minister cabinet meetings, a socially isolated world is rejoicing in cyberspace with the help of online networking platforms.

Hong-Kong based Remo, a 2-D virtual office where participants can easily move between interactive ‘floors’ and ‘rooms’, has recently skyrocketed in popularity in Japan with many startup communities using its platform for online events.

During this talk, we will have Remo CTO Russell Wong taking us through the technical side of developing a popular virtual networking and events product. And of course, we will discuss a hot button issue with security flaws that have recently been uncovered at Zoom.
